Lee A. Kirksey
Education
Lee graduated summa cum laude from Angelo State University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. In 1999, she graduated magna cum laude from Texas Tech University School of Law and was inducted into the Texas Tech chapter of the Order of the Coif for ranking in the top 10% of her graduating class.
Professional Experience
Lee is a shareholder and director of the firm. She has an active litigation practice that includes work in the areas of family law, commercial litigation, oil and gas litigation, guardianships and conservatorships, and general civil practice. Lee also has experience in the appellate courts of New Mexico.
Lee was admitted to practice in Texas in 1999 and in New Mexico in 2000. She is also admitted to practice in the Federal District Court of New Mexico and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Professional Activities
Lee is a past President of the Lea County Bar Association and has previously been selected by the Chief Judge of the Fifth Judicial District to serve on the Judicial Nominating Commission for the District.
Civic Activities
Lee currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Hobbs, Chairman of the Tour of Habitats and CASAs Steering Committee, and Vice President of the Board of Directors of Teen Court of Lea County, Inc. She is a Past President of Junior Service League of Hobbs, Inc. Lee is also a graduate of the Leadership New Mexico Class of 2007 and previously served on the CONNECT New Mexico Curriculum Committee. She is active in her local church, Grace Lutheran Church, currently serving as a Sunday School teacher and previously having served on the Church Council.
